The course concentrates on the study of critical theory and writing with a focus on the analysis, interpretation and evaluation of media products. It combines approaches coming from the humanities and the social sciences (media and communication theories, sociology along with philosophy, philology, arts, history etc.). It also discusses the role of argumentation, persuasion, rhetoric and hermeneutics in the process of construction, communication and evaluation of media content.
