Inclusive Journalism explores how media can represent diverse communities fairly, accurately, and ethically. The course combines theoretical and practical approaches to understanding bias, stereotyping, and representation in news coverage. Students learn how social, cultural, and political contexts influence journalistic narratives and develop the skills to report inclusively on issues such as gender, race, religion, disability, social class, and sexual orientation. Through case studies, and critical discourse analysis, students build competencies in ethical storytelling, sensitivity in interviewing, and using journalism as a tool for social inclusion and equity.
